Snurfer Sculpture Dedication with Sherm Poppen

Join the Community Foundation for Muskegon County on Thursday, June 7 at 5:00 p.m. at 477 W. Western Ave. (across the street from the L.C. Walker Arena), for the dedication of the new “Snurfer Sculpture” in a ceremony honoring Sherman “Sherm” Poppen. A Muskegon native, Sherm Poppen is being honored for inventing the Snurfer, a way to surf on the snow, and his entrepreneurial success.  After the dedication the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce will host a reception at the Holiday Inn Muskegon Harbor to celebrate Sherm’s induction into the Muskegon Business Hall of Fame. All are welcome to attend.
