GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Disney On Ice has added a seventh show to its return appearance in the Van Andel Arena in March.

“Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic” which opens Thursday, Feb. 28 in Grand Rapids, has added a second show to its final date on Sunday, March 3.

The production featuring the largest cast ever of Disney characters on ice was announced last September.

Disney On Ice last at the Van Andel Arena with “Mickey and Minnie’s Magical Journey” last year in March.

“Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic” features old favorites Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse as well as Woody and Buzz Lightyear in the show spanning the history of Disney’s animated cartoons.

Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket, Stitch and Nemo all will be on the ice for evening performances on Thursday, Feb. 28 and Friday, March 1.

The show featuring The Incredibles plus highlights from Disney’s “Mulan” and “The Lion King” now will be seen twice on March 3.

The production by Feld Entertainment combines favorite Disney stories and beloved characters that have entertained families all over the world in a show blending special effects and elaborate sets with the elegance of artistry on the ice.

Tickets are $15, $23, $35 for VIP seats. A limited number of $45 rinkside and $58 front row seats also available.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band are coming back to the Van Andel Arena on Tuesday, Mar. 5. The last time Seger played the venue was in April of 2011 to a capacity crowd of more than 12,000 fans.

The Rock and Roll Never Forgets 2013 Tour will kick off in Toledo, OH on Feb. 27 with stops in Seattle, Portland, Denver, Green Bay, and Grand Rapids. The tour will also feature numerous dates in Canada.

Seger’s catalog includes hits like “Night Moves”, “We’ve Got Tonight”, You’ll Accomp’ny Me”, and “Old Time Rock And Roll”.

Kid Rock is ready to celebrate New Year’s Eve!

The Detroit rocker released his latest video off his new CD, “Rebel Soul.”

Fittingly, the song is “Happy New Year.” It debuted on CMT, Country Music Television, and shows Kid playing to a country audience.

At the same time, a few more dates — including some in Michigan — have been leaked regarding his Rebel Soul Tour 2013.

Those dates:

• April 3 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids

• April 5 & 6 at the Dow Center in Saginaw

Ticket information has not been released.

Also, there is speculation that Kid Rock is about to announce a major spring or summer event for Detroit.
