Founders (235 Grandville Ave NW / Grand Rapids, MI / 49503) – Founders has a reputation for great beer with their many offerings available at bars across the state. With over a dozen unique brews, Founders has made a name for itself amongst Michigan brews-and it has even won awards naturally. Consequently, it is not surprising that Founders stands out as one of the top 3 bars in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Founders brew its beers in a brewery on site and recently moved to this facility to keep up with demand. With great beers and a decent sandwich menu, Founders is a popular place to hang out. Located on the fringe of downtown Grand Rapids, it is just far enough outside the core downtown bar district to avoid the annoying college crowds. Instead, what you get at Founders is a great place to hang out with friend and enjoy quality beers. In addition, there is an outdoor seating area. Founders also feature regular music nights, making it a great place to catch a band. Each year Founders also throws a “Founders Fest” event where they block off Grandville Avenue in front of the brewery and throw a big block party.
